The only Pistol shooter to be selected to attend the Cairo ISSF Pistol/Rifle World Cup for 2026 was Alison Heinrich.  A member of Noarlunga City Pistol Club, Alison is on her way to attempt selection for the LA28 Olympic Games.  This latest competition is a stepping stone for her to selection and a great preparation for the next year which will see Olympic quotas and positions up for grabs.

Alison is backed by Shooting Australia, Target Pistol Australia, SARPA, and her local club.  Alison finished 32nd out of a field of 50 at her first World Cup with a score of 573 (20X) in qualifications for the 25M Pistol Women.  Only 8 athletes managed 20X or more!  The highest score in qualification round was 587 making Alison's score very competitive.  It is much a test of stamina as a test of shooting ability with a grueling flight and a 7 hour 30 minute time zone change.

Alison's next match is the 10M Women's Air Pistol to be contested 14.10.26.
