Alison Heinrich will represent Australia as the only Pistol athlete for the ISSF World Cup to be held in Cairo, Egypt, from 8th to 16th October, 2026.
Shooting Australia (SA) provides Alison with 50% of the funding to attend the World Cup and the remainder is self funded. This year Target Pistol Australia (TPA) introduced the TPA International ISSF/WSPS Athlete Support Funding and have awarded Alison a grant of 75% of the unfunded portion to assist in her shooting endeavours.
SARPA is now pleased to announce that at the Committee meeting of 30.09.2026 it was decided that SARPA would assist Alison further by providing funding of up to $1000 to cover the unfunded 12.5% remaining and to cover incidentals during her competition after the SA and TPA contributions.
The value of Alison's contribution to promoting the sport of pistol shooting in South Australia is impossible to measure. She is a great ambassador for our sport and we wish her the best of luck in Cairo and in her journey towards LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.

Alison was caught training this morning at Noarlunga City Pistol Club where she is a member.
If you would like to see Alison shooting, Noarlunga City Pistol Club is hosting the SARPA ISSF State Titles this long weekend (3rd - 5th October) and will be contesting several matches alongside interstate and local athletes.
All welcome.
